Cotton | Yarn Trading | Indenting
Ravi Shamji Asher (RSA), based in India, was established in 1919 to cater to the cotton needs of the consumers. Situated in the heart of the Indian textile industry, we have seen the market dynamics up-close and understand the diversified demands of the consumers – both in the local and the international markets. We provide customers around the globe with high quality cotton yarn that may then be used for various purposes.
India is the second largest producer of cotton in the world and export a high number of cotton bales annually. RSA ensures that the cotton yarn being exported is refined and of the best pick so that customers are satisfied with the products. All cotton yarn that is exported by RSA meets the international quality control procedures.
Similarly, we also provide cotton to local industries and textile firms. Local firms sometimes also need exported cotton to meet their unique product offering. RSA also provides exported cotton from the USA, Australia and the CIS regions locally. All our products are reasonably priced and delivered with care and responsibility.
RSA operates on values of trust and quality. Our clients are our topmost priority and we aim to enhance their experience with RSA continually. The team and management at RSA puts in effort to establish strong relations with members in the value chain so that risks in the cotton business are continually monitored and minimize. This system of risk evaluation allows RSA to deliver cotton yarn to its esteemed customers on time and in an orderly manner.
RSA also sources organic cotton from countries like India and Turkey. RSA believes that it is important to sustain the environment in which the business operates, so as to give to a stronger and a more stead-fast business and environmental outlook. RSA supports initiatives that work towards creating environmental-friendly ways of producing and distributing cotton yarn. Some of these initiatives include Better Cotton Initiative, Organic cotton, Fair trade, and Cotton Made in Africa. Through supporting and promoting these initiatives, RSA plays its role of being a responsible member of the society.
We support sustainability and giving back to the environment by supporting and promoting initiatives like Better Cotton Initative, Organic cotton , Fair trade, Cotton Made In Africa etc. We source Better cotton Intiative(BCI Cotton) & Cotton Made in Africa from Mali, Ivory Coast, Zimbabwe , Zambia, Burkina Faso and Brazil. We also source large volumes of organic cotton from India, Turkey etc
Cotton is a highly volatile commodity and price fluctuations happen on a daily basis. Our key focus is on risk management and we identify and monitor potential risks in business. We reduce risks by forging strong strategic relationships with key participants in the value chain including producers etc. Our intent is always to build long term associations with our business partners thereby helping each other grow mutually.
India being the 2nd biggest producer of cotton in the world and is hence naturally looked at by buyers of fibre all over. We cater to the increasing demand for fibre from India and over the years are in a position to source the finest Indian cotton thru our offices in key cotton growing regions
